Kardashii began in 1998 with one idea: take handmade kilim, jajim, and suzani textiles — pieces normally reserved for floors — and bring them into fashion, as bags, shoes, and accessories no factory could ever replicate. Because every textile is woven by hand, no two Kardashii pieces are ever quite the same.
Our Past
It started small: a handful of artisans, a handful of textiles, and a simple belief that something woven by hand deserved a second life beyond the floor. Every early piece was slow going — dyeing wool by hand, matching pattern to pattern, stitching until the proportions felt right rather than rushing to a deadline. That patience is what built trust with the weavers, dyers, and stitchers who make up our circle today — a circle that's grown from a handful of hands to nearly 100 skilled artisans, each one bringing traditional technique into pieces made for modern life.
Our Present
Today, the process hasn't changed — only the reach has. Every Kardashii piece still begins as a hand-woven textile: pure wool and fine silk, dyed and knotted by hand, one row at a time. Only once that textile exists do we begin the second craft — cutting, lining, and finishing each piece with leather trim and hardware, turning what was once a rug pattern into a bag you reach for every day. We now ship worldwide, but the standard hasn't moved: every piece should feel like something you couldn't have found anywhere else.
Our Future
Looking ahead, the commitment stays the same, even as the shapes we put it into keep changing. We're not interested in mass production — every piece should still be a genuine one-of-a-kind, meant to be worn and loved for years, not replaced next season. What we're chasing now is more range: new silhouettes, new ways to bring kilim, jajim, and suzani into daily life, without ever losing the handwork that makes each piece impossible to copy. Bold, colorful, and built to outlast trends — that's the plan.
